I love this thing. It's great for outside use when I'm painting or washing the car. I can beat it up and it still keeps going and sounding great.
WIsh it still had the TV band, like the older version of this radio I have, but the FCC is doing away with analog TV, so it wouldn't work anyway.
If you're looking for hi-fidelity, this is NOT the radio for you. It's not stereo, there is no bass, etc. But it does sound great and gets the job done if you just want some background noise from a radio that is so cheap you don't care if it gets broken or stolen.

Was looking for a portable during power outages. The sony fits the bill at a reasonable price. The reception is good and the sound clear, definitely worth the money.

Try to find a "simple" AM/FM radio nowadays at a reasonable price without all the bells and whistles. I finally did with this Sony product. Just plug it in or use the batteries for a leisurely listen out on the patio. Easy to use and sounds great.

With all the fancy stereos in my house, I find myself using this radio the most. The reception and sound are great for a radio this size, and because it's light and has batteries, I can carry it from room to room, wherever I need it. Excellent quality for the price.
