GREAT SOUNDING PIONEER December 29, 2008 Raymond Lee Schumacher PIONEER FH-8000BT This was a present to my Son for Christmas, it has exceeded all expectations, in THE PIONEER QUALITY, FROM THE SOUND TO ALL IT'S OTHER FEATURES. THE RADIO IS SIRUS READY WITH GAME ALERT AND GAME ZONE. THIS RADIO HAS ADVANCED RETRIVER, BUILT IN SPEAKER POWER 50 WX4 EQUALIZER 7 BAND GRAPHIC. IT HAS A MP3 PLAYBACK CD PLAYER, DOUBLE CD RECEIVER. BUILT IN BLUETOOTH IS NICE. COMES WITH USB DIRECT CONTROL FOR YOUR I PODS. HAS ADVANCED SOUND RETRIVER AS I MENTIONED, ALSO IT HAS 3 RCA HI-VOLT PREOUTS. BUILT IN MOSFET 50 X 4 AMPLIFIER. SUPER TUNER WAS A GREAT DEAL, WITH FREE SHIPPING, AND A PRICE THAT BEAT SO MANY OTHER RETAILERS, ALSO FOR THE HOLIDAYS, WAS FAST SHIP. NO PROBLEMS HERE THIS RADIO HAS MET MY SON'S EXPECTATIONS, WHICH ARE NOT EASY TO DO. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A GREAT BUY FOR A GREAT RADIO FROM A GREAT COMPANY AS ALWAYS FROM PIONEER, I WOULD NOT EXPECT ANY THING LESS FROM PIONEER. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY.
Best double din December 25, 2008 Ryan Tripodi (Tehachapi, CA) This is by far the best head unit I have ever owned. Installation was a breeze, and quality of this unit is top notch. Ipod integration is the best and I'd venture to say it make's my music sound better. As long as you have some knowledge of aftermarket receivers you should not have a hard time with this. On a scale of 1-10 of ease of use I'd give it a 6 only cause it has so much. I can't wait to go driving again so it can make me smile, BUY IT.
A Must Read December 14, 2008 Crystal M. Merritt (Honolulu, HI USA) This is a great Unit! Easy to connect to with the cell phone and ipod, also the mic is awsome and sound quality is pretty good too. If you are buying this for a vehicle with a factory installed amplifier (i ordered for a 08 mustang). When you install/have it installed you will need a 1k inline transistor on the remote amp switch. Costs pennies on the dollar and will keep the loud pop sound from comming through the speakers. Nice bright display easy to read. Not only that the price is right on!!
Great HU November 22, 2008 Chris Oser (Lexington, Ky) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 02 Nissan Maxima. It fits and sounds great. I have the Bose system, so I was interested in this for the high voltage pre-amp outputs and it sounds awesome. Features work well. For the money, you can not ask for anything better. Except maybe a controllable dimmmer.
BT8000 mixed blessing November 3, 2008 Ron D. Troy (Long Island) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a Pioneer BT8000 (with HD) in my 2003 Subaru Forester with the upgraded Subaru speakers and sub woofer. I also added the ipod cable for my daughter. The good news is; Bluetooth phone capabilities (used with a Motorola V9M) are excellent and well behaved, call quality excellent, radio audio also excellent. The radio switches to phone if a call comes in, switches back afterwards. HD, when you get it, can sound great. The bad news is that it is very hard to use. There just are not enough controls. Each major control has numerous uses but only one use per control is listed. Setup is very difficult. No on-off switch (function is in another button and hidden). You try to raise the volume and you change the frequency or the preset. Tuner sensitivity on AM is poor at least with the HD tuner. The steering wheel remote is hard to mount, even harder to use without looking at it. Even worse, the manual is one of the worst I've ever gone through. Too many things are made too complicated or are not even covered. The quick setup is even worse. I'd give this 4 stars if only the documentation were decent.
