Roadtrip w/ smartscan November 14, 2008 J. Seda (Davie, FLA) I bought this to replace an older Roadtrip fm transmiter. The old one was not compatible with the 6th generation classic ipod. This roadtrip sounds a lot better and even chooses the 3 best channels. You can still hear static between songs but you can't hear it during the songs. Good upgrade from previous roadtrip fm transmitter
product review September 26, 2008 Ms. Louise Curry excellent product and easy to use. Takes the hassle out of manually scanning for a free station.
iphone 3g WORKS! September 8, 2008 P. Patel (USA) I have been looking for a car charger that will also work for the iPhone 3g that is FM transmitter, Dock/Holder all in one. Read all kinds of reviews on all kinds of sites.. THIS ONE I FINALLY TRIED AND WORKS AWESOME. you will however see the apple nag screen that it is not designed for use with this device but just click ignore and off you go. Sound quality is very good Easy to use Charging is Fast Has swivle neck so i can put phone in portrait mode THIS IS THE ONE TO GET IF YOU HAVE iPhone 3G.
Pretty nice September 6, 2008 RoseBudD (Utah, USA) This is my second RoadTrip. The first one I had was one for a 2nd generation nano. I loved it and never had any trouble with it, except that I had to take the cover off of my nano or it wouldn't fit into the RoadTrip. This particular one has improved in that sense. It comes with 6 different docks for different models. The only thing is that it doesn't get the best reception, which my old one never had problems with. Sometimes it will get fuzzy and other times it is normal. So that is really the only complaint...but once you find a good station it is not bad for the most part.
simplicity at its best July 29, 2008 sam (Orange, CA USA) Griffin RoadTrip FM Transmitter with SmartScan works very well. its compact and sturdy with only 3 buttons to limit confusion. the sound clarity is near CD. that is if you get an unoccupied channel. i did, however, have problems with smartscan. in LA/OC California there too many stations for smartscan to work properly. otherwise, a great product.
