Wonderful!! January 6, 2009 Rachmaninoff girl This product is wonderful. I have an iphone 3G and the clarity I'm able to achieve with the roadtrip is remarkable. Hardly any static. Even when I travel long distances, I don't have to change the station very often. The smartscan option is very useful as well. Even though this product is not advertised as compatible with the iphone, it is. You'll get the message saying that it's not, but don't worry. It still charges the iphone quickly and is super easy to use. I highly recommend this product! It's not big and bulky, which is also great!
Great Idea, bad transmitter January 5, 2009 Max (Walpole, MA) As previously stated, in Massachusetts, this product does not function. The only "sweet spot" for FM transmitting in Massachusetts is in the 87 range. This device only lets you go down to 88.1. Anything programmed from 88.1 to 107.9 only lasts a minute or two (if at all!) before it gets static. Ugh. The gooseneck is great and the product is well designed for looks and comfort. Unfortunatley, if you are in an area with numerous FM stations, you'll unlikely get any reasonable functionality from it as a transmitter. (Unlike their previous models that have worked well for me!)
Sound not so bad for Iphone 3g. Fits with case January 5, 2009 F. Qin (Los angeles,CA) I love how this product gets rid of the ugly wires and puts your phone conveniently at your finger tips. I drive a Toyota Camery and the power is just below the A/C. Also it will fit most phones with slim cases on them. Sometimes if you stay on a station too long you do get some bad feedback static. But you have to say on the station for like 2 hours or something. I found if you change stations the problem usually goes away. Other than that the music sounds great. Good sound quality.
Works for me. January 1, 2009 David B. Rich (Indiana, USA) My unit performs well, and fits in my vehicles well, as advertised. Hey, Griffin - how about an HD radio version?
Terrible sound, great accessibility. December 29, 2008 K. McDonald (Texas) We bought this for my mom after my dad got her an ipod for Christmas. It held the ipod and iphone great. It was nice to have it in one place and easy to access as opposed to just laying in the cupholder. Other than that, it was terrible. Constant static regardless of the station I used. I'd lose a station every few blocks, and when I was able to minimize the static, the music sounded like it was playing on an AM station (tinny, no bass, mainly drums and vocals, etc.). I plugged in my Monster brand transmitter and the music sounded great, so I know it wasn't the stereo or ipod settings. We took this thing right back to the store for a refund. This thing is a waste of money.
