You can also use your iPod with the alarm clock, to wake up to the music of your choice. AM/FM Alarm Clock Radio As mentioned above, you can wake to your favorite tune on your iPod, or go more traditional and let the radio or buzzer do the job. The alarm features a gradual volume increase and a sleep timer function, as well as snooze for more difficult mornings. It also features dual independent alarm settings, if you need a second alarm later in the day. The clock supports 12- and 24-hour time formats, and has three dimmer display levels to dial in the ideal brightness. The radio features five AM and five FM radio presets. Digital dispaly went out December 27, 2008 jcu47 (NYC) Everything seemed fine with this iPod alarm player, then one day, for no reason, the digital display went black. Everything else works, but without the display it cannot be used as a clock or an alarm! I only had the thing a few months and then poof.
The best ipod radio!!!! December 8, 2008 D. Byrd (Throckmorton,Tx) I LOVE this ipod radio. The flat speakers are awesome!I can't comment on the radio since I live out in the boonies and cant get radio stations. But the ipod sounds great. You can turn the WOW feature (I reccommend it to be turned on.)Adjust the bass and teble. The clock isn't too bright even when not on dim.The speakers are covered with what looks like a mirror, and when you listen to music you can see the mirror vibrate. The only thing bad about this radio is that it wont charge the ipod while not turned on.But does charge while listening to the ipod.
Sounds great! October 25, 2008 M. Carlson (Chicago, IL) ...but that's about it. It shuts down the Ipod very quickly to "save the battery" because it runs on battery while docked and playing (not cool). It shut off so well it completely froze my Ipod, so I tried letting the battery run down and when I plugged it back in it started working again, thankfully. As obnoxious as the antenna's are they don't work that well...and I felt annoyed at the controls. One star, the sound exceeded my expectations and the return was simple.
Unusable as an alarm clock August 17, 2008 Ducky (Los Angeles, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wish I would have read the previous review about the alarm clock issue before buying this... It's not limited to using an iPod. Waking to the radio has the same problem. Within 5 seconds, this thing will be playing full blast. You have 2 options, snooze or turn the alarm off. Pressing the volume button is the same as snooze. There is no way you can wake to music because of this volume issue.
Works abolutely pefect July 15, 2008 mrtvoj Has spend quite a while trying to choose the right one. And even after I have ordered this one - I was not really sure that I have done the right thing. Not until I have unpacked it, installed and tried it. I was very pleasently surprised by the qaulity of its sound and radio reception, and absolutely excited by its looks. And very, very pleased. The overall quality is more than satisfactory. Good buy. Btw - I am using it with both Nano3G and iTouch and works with both flawlesly.
