I brought opened it and tried using the remote and it didn't work. I thought I would fix it by getting a battery for it. I just installed the new battery and it still does not work...

We bought this for use in nursery/office. We had tried other brands with horrible sound. This has great sound and I would recommend it to others.

Let's get one thing straight: the sound quality is not good.
If you walked blindfolded into a room where music was playing on these speakers, you'd probably think to yourself "that sounds pretty bad." It's not a good solution for any room where you could set up real (non-portable) speakers.
That said, the portability is fantastic. I really like the carrying case, the built-in rechargeable battery, and the remote. It's small and light enough to easily stuff into a backpack. I think the sound quality is better than most of the other portable speakers out there, FWIW.

The instructions are woefully bad and the speakers do not work with the ac adapter after fully charged. The thing just shuts off. A piece of junk
