This device took my old stereo receiver and brought it into the 21st century. I can now play my iPod through the receiver. Even better, the dock charges my iPod!

I was hoping this device would work with my new iPod Nano 3rd generation. It charges and plays audio, but it doesn't play video. The ipod keeps telling me to plug in the video accessory cable. I put the iPod into the factory test mode and attempted video output from the test menu. The video was all messed up, like looking at a v-sync problem that you would find on the old CRT TVs in the 70s.
I also attempted to use in on my iPhone 3G. Same results and the iPhone gave a warning about the accessory isnt' made for the iPhone, would I like to turn off the cell signal to reduce interference.
Pros: Charges iPod Nano 3rd Gen & iPhone 3G
Plays Stereo
Cons: Doesn't play video out on iPod or iPhone 3G.

I was doing some research on the available docks and looked at all avenues, after realizing that the Apple dock was not inclusive of the proper cables and also they did not include the proper adapters(unless you bought either of them) I found this dock. Belkin has certinally met it's normal high standard. Great weight to hold my Nano in place, the cables are long enought to place anywhere on my desk ( I play it through my Wave CD radio) and the availability to play the video is also a plus, though I am currently not using it.
I would by another and yet another if there were a need, actually there is so I just may have to do that!

The AC adaptor did not work, I had to disassemble it and bend the metal prongs on the PC board that touch the folding wall connectors in order for it to receive power. Rather Lame.
Sturdy, Working Dock September 22, 2008

Works great with both my new iPod Touch 2g AND my old iPod Nano 2g. If you get the F8Z126 version it comes with the dock, a Mini-B to USB cable which works with the dock, several dock inserts (Nano 1g and 2g, iPod 5g (video)), the AC USB Power Adapter, and the 3.5mm to RCA video cable.
The dock insert that came with my iPod Touch 2g fit right in, and my iPod Touch slid right in and looked great. Charges through the AC adapter or by connecting the USB cable to a PC just fine. Just be warned, however, that the RCA cables WILL NOT WORK with any of the new iPod models. Otherwise, it is a great dock and well worth the money.
