 Incredible Protection... flown of the roof of my car twice! November 16, 2008

I bought this case 3 months ago along with a protective screen film and have counted my lucky stars more than once when this case saved my brand new 3G phone, my money and inconvenience.
Twice I have left my phone on the roof of my car while looking for car keys and twice it's gone flying off, bouncing across the road like a stone skimming a pond. My phone is absolutely fine. Sure, there are scratches on the case, but it's very hard and can handle it. Also, due to the casing leaving approximately a 1mm 'lip' around the screen, it protected the screen from getting scratched also.
I bought this case to PROTECT my phone and it does so way beyond normal use! (obviously, I don't recommend you leave it on your cars roof!)
PROS
*Extremely durable
*Available in black & white. I like the black on a black phone, not very noticable.
*It's lightweight
*I can still charge it without taking the case off, even in both my iHome 'Out Loud' [...]
*Easy to remove & no hinges like other hard cases to snag on clothing etc.
*Even under extreme duress, the cover can't 'pop' off or open because of its snug slip-on design.
CONS
It may leave a small scratch along the back of your phone as noted by other owners. However, you CAN'T see it when the case is on and for obvious reasons why would you ever take it off? I knew this was a possibility because I read the reviews before purchasing, but I couldn't care less given that it does a fantastic job of keeping my phone safe!
BTW My phone goes with me everywhere, hiking, school, work, home. It's fallen out of shirt and jacket pockets, dropped by my 3 year old watching 'Thomas the Tank Engine' on it and paired with an adhesive screen protector you won't be disappointed.
One more note... 2 friends have the soft rubbery cases available out there and both their phone have been damaged visably within the first month of use.

The Agent18 Eco Shield for iPhone (Not 3G) is the absolute best case I have found for the iPhone. I have had this case for more than 6 months. It is still holding up well. I have dropped the phone a few times - even on concrete - and this case has protected the phone and weathered the falls quite well. The case itself has some scuffs and gouges, but is still structurally sound. I recommend this case to anyone who has an iPhone. period. Try to never take it off. The more you have to take it off and put it back on, the weaker the joints that hold the case together will get. The one drawback to this case's design is the joints that hold it together. My brother in law had the white Agent 18 iPhone shield and played with it constantly. (Opened the case and closed it repeated) Eventually the tabs failed and he had to replace the case. However, the tabs only failed after the phone bounced down three concrete steps onto a concrete surface.
You can attempt to bend the tabs back in so they are more secure, but over time this will weaken the tabs. I recommend squeezing the case just above the tabs to tighten the whole case rather than tightening the tabs themselves. This is how I have done it with mine for the past six months. It seems to be working so far.

After using the Marware Sport Grip Case for about six months, I got this Eco Shield, which I've now had for a few weeks. The Marware case is good, but streches out after time, and my biggest gripe was that it was difficult to hit the edges of the screen because it's cut so close. The Agent18 Eco Shield isn't cut nearly as close to the screen, and so it fixed my problem perfectly! It seems to be very well made; all the holes are places in exactly the right place. I think this is the best case out there!

This case is currently on the iPhone I'm typing this review on and I'm VERY happy with it! It feels incredibly durable and despite dropping the phone on gravel pavement, there are no marks on the phone or the case!! In conjunction with a screen protector, your phone will be incredibly well protected! My only complaint is that the side clips don't feel very secure or tight. Then again, the case has never fallen apart on its on... So maybe my complaint is completely moot.
Final thought: if you're on the fence about this product, just buy it. The price is right, the quality is awesome, and the look is really classy. Take it from a picky, trendy graphic designer. This case is AWESOME.
