This case is perfect. It has a plastic cover to protect the ipod screen. Fits my 160 GB ipod like a glove. I can use the flip top to prop the ipod up so I don't have to hold it when I'm watching a movie. The line is a nice soft suede material. Very pleased.

I regret trying to skimp out when I bought my 160gb and got the little rubber thingy. A friend of mine had this one and I liked it and so I bought one my self. I have had it 2 weeks and absolutly love it. The flip top protects the screen and wheel. The magnets are great for keeping the flap in place and also can be used to help stand while watching the videos. Best $25 bucks I have spent on amazon in a while!

There are not many differnnt styles of cases for the new ipod 160 classic, but I will tell you this you will not go wrong if you purchase one of these, you won't be disappointed!!!!

I just bought this for my new 80GB Ipod classic, and I've been using the case for several weeks now. I agree with the top ratings posted here.
As for the case itself, the leather is a smooth and very durable material. It has quality stitching, the metal belt clip is secure with a layer of leather sewn over it. This is important to me because I'm a jogger and I dislike wearing armbands for the Ipod. The Ipod is too heavy to have in an armband while jogging. I haven't had a need to remove the clip, so I can't comment on that.
The Ipod fits snugly in the case with no problems of moving around or getting stuck in it. The inside is a soft micro fabric that works against slipping, so your Ipod won't accidentally fall out. I disagree with a previous reviewer, all openings on the case is perfected placed and large enough. The case is not bulky at all, it adds about 3/4" in thickness at most, 1/4" in length, and 1/4" in width to the size of the Ipod. I keep it in my purse quite often. It is also lightweight, considering the high quality and type of material used. It has protected my Ipod very well - I use it in the car, at home, in the gym, etc. The case is also very easy to clean.
At first, I was concerned about the flip top, I thought it would get in the way. It quite handy though, it provides an additional protection for the face of the Ipod, in addition to the clear screen protector guard. The magnets inside the flip top makes it fall back into place easily. As a jogger, the clip tends to move around and cause small abrasions on my skin. This is something I've experienced with any kind of clip (my cellphone is an MP3 player, so I used to use it in a case w/ a clip while jogging). So I can change to more adequate clothing or place the clip at my front instead of at my side. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I love it , protects my ipod and looks nice. I had to make one moderation though. The hole for the earphones on the case is really annoying , so I took a scissor and cut it. It was a pain to close the case with this tiny little hole. Otherwise it is a great case for an ipod classic. The clip is really great if you wear it on your belt. You can change it from horizontal to vertical so you can wear it on your belt sideways or regular. You can also remove the cover if you want easier access to your clickpad. I leave mine on and use it to prop up the ipod when I wam watching a movie or something. I spent a lot of time shopping for a nice case and I think this is a great one.
