Great for protection, but has some downsides October 11, 2008

I really like that the case covers the screen well, and keeps the back from getting scratched. The bottom of the case is flush with the docking connector, so it is a great case for people who constantly dock your iPod. But if you never use a dock (like me) I feel like the bottom is left open and I am afraid of leaving it in my pocket and getting lint stuck in the connector. The open click-wheel design is nice but it also is susceptible to dust and lint (although I have never used the Belkin case with the wheel cover so I cannot compare usability). I think it was a great investment for $11!

The ipod case for the 80G is awsome. It protects the ipod. It is a must have and it dose the job.

this is a good case for preventing scratches but not from preventing dust from getting in the case. There is no protection over the wheel. And I've found it really hard to get the case off once it's on. I've had to struggle to get the case off when I want to put in in my walking Ipod case. I've had to pry it off with a screwdriver once. Once it's on, it want's to stay on. I'm looking for something else to protect my precious IPod.

Bought my first hard shell case for my nano from Radio Shack. Once I got my classic, this was the first purchase I made for it. Excellent cases, and insurance for your precious iPod for little money. Well worth it!
