I have a sleeve case for my iPhone, but wanted something with more coverage for the Winter months as often the snow or rain will seep into my jacket or pants pockets. When I saw the Marware case, it fit the bill perfectly! Very well constructed padded case with top that fastens shut (I never had any problem with the velcro closure) and a pocket in front for either the iphone earbuds or as I use it for my V-Moda iphone headset. The pocket is also convenient for those times you don't want to lug your entire wallet with you. if you want to leave the wallet at home , just stick a credit card, some money, and your driver's license in the pocket of the case and your all set.
This case has very good protection for your iphone, great for in pocket. backpack or purse. It is not easy to answer the phone quickly from this case however, so I use it mainly to protect from weather, when I am using only the ipod functions (when exercising/running) or when traveling and I want to give it extra protection from physical harm.

I still use this case, but now only in the vertical orientation. In the horizontal orientation you must very carefully close the flap because the opening in the case for the earbuds can cause the velcro closer to be misaligned. I am glad that there is a place to plug in the earbuds with the case closed. However, this causes a problem when the case is not securely closed and the iPhone is horizontally oriented. My experience was that the iPhone can (and in one case, did) fall out. Fortunately, in my case it fell out on carpet, and there was no damage to the phone.
You can check the positioning of the velcro with your fingers and pull on the flap after you close it, but the risk of damage to your iPhone is too great to risk using the horizontal orientation.
The best aspect of the case design is that it is discrete (other than the large "Marware" name).
