didn't work August 27, 2008 A. Barnes (Seattle, WA United States) sadly :-< Get one of those cigarette lighter adaptor thingys instead, got one and it works great.
Simply Did Not Work July 27, 2008 G. Sims (Nebraska, Home of the Huskers) I bought this item to replace a $5 tape adapter I had for years (the wire had finally broken on it). I have a Dodge Stratus (02) with a factory tape deck in it. It wouldn't seat itself into the player. I tried using different angles, different amounts of force, and a few other tricks, but nothing works. I would stay away from it personally. On my comments section to Amazon, when asked if I wanted a refund or replacement, I told them I'd just buy a different one from another company. It is too bad, because I did like the retracting cord feature.
Didn't work the moment I got it July 24, 2008 G. Yang (Santa Rosa, CA USA) This tape adapter did not work from the second I first tried it. I however had already thrown away the packaging and the receipt. Need I say more? upsetting. I have purchased another tape adapter since which works perfectly by maxell.
Complete and total crapola July 23, 2008 banks105 (Greencastle, PA United States) Stay away from this item; it's pure junk. Bought it to play my nano through my truck's cassette deck and all it did was grind and rattle and get spit out. It did the same thing in another deck I tried it in, so it's getting sent back. I picked up a different brand of cassette adapter at Target (Scosche) and it works perfectly. Ten bucks might seem like a bargain for this; it's not.
Seems to be compatibility issues with some tape decks July 21, 2008 Daniel Taub (Austin,TX USA) This doesn't work in my wife's car at all- the tape deck just ejects it right away without trying to play it. I was able to use it just fine in a boom box, however, so the device seems to be fine. Reading the various reviews of this product on amazon, some folks love it and some folks couldn't get it to work at all. This seems to me like a compatibility thing- some casette players will recognize it as a cassette and play it, and some won't. Might just be you have to try it to find out how it will work on your equipment.
