don't know October 9, 2008 Ron's Wife (USA) I'm sure this item is fine. It was given to my daughter and I found out she hates working out, though was on a college team. I doubt she ever used it. You have to know what you need.
Active and on the go... September 16, 2008 A. Terry (Ohio, USA) Wonderful product, stays in place, securely holds your mini in a tight compartment. The only criticisms I have are that you have to adjust your volume before you place the ipod into the plastic/neoprene compartment and you have to remove it, in order to activate the hold mode so as to save battery power. To me those are things I can overcome. That fact that my ipod won't get damaged, that there is a place to put excess cord and that it stays in place on my arm were the selling points in comparison to other products that I viewed. I would highly recommend this product especially to those who still rock the mini ipod like I do!
Works well, but would recommend a shuffle for workouts September 11, 2008 Eric B. Weller The Mini and Nano's are great because they have "no moving parts" so they are more durable then the bigger Ipods.... but they are still a bit big to wear on your arm. I would recommend buying a cheap "shuffle" for your workouts if you want to wear one while working out (on your arm). The armband does do it's job, but is constricting when you're working out (obviously).
Ipod armband September 7, 2008 John Harris (Virginia, US) not a bad armband. Does what it is supposed to. The fit is semi-okay. It fits on me since my arms are relatively big, but for anyone without any muscle (or whatever) it probably wouldn't fit too well. The armband has a plastic film over its plastic front and that film on mine is starting to peel off so the entire front of the armband kind of looks like crap. but since when im working out im not sitting there admiring the armband, I don't particularly care. Overall a good buy.
Fits a Garmin Edge (GPS) May 23, 2008 T. Campbell (Dearborn, MI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've got a Garmin Edge (GPS) which is really intended for bikes and only comes with bike mounts. While Garmin makes a ForeRunner series (designed for joggers) which looks identical and designed to be worn, the mounts are not compatible (I wrote to Garmin & they verified it wont work). I wanted to be able to 'wear' my Edge. I geo-tag photos, which means I need a wearable GPS to track where I am when I shoot a photo (the time-stamps from the GPS track are matched to the time-stamps on the photos and that's how the software figures out where I was when a photo was taken.) I had done some searching for something that would let me 'wear' my Edge and wasn't having much luck. I have an old iPod Mini and it occurred to me that the Edge computer is just about the same size... not exact, but pretty close. The fact that the compartment is made out of neoprene, which is stretchy, means it should be forgiving enough to account for the minor differences. Turns out it's perfect! When I put the Edge inside this armband, it looks like it was made for it!
