Built my entire PC using only these tools! October 23, 2008 Kurt McNamara I recently built my first PC from scratch using an Antec P182 case and I found that these were the only tools I needed. The main reason I purchased this kit is because the tools are all demagnetized, which most standard household tools are not, and I didn't want to take the chance. The 3-pronged parts retriever (the thing that looks like a syringe) was an absolute Godsend, not only for retrieving dropped screws, but for setting small motherboard screws in tight-to-fit corners that otherwise would've been impossible to set by hand. The only odd tool included is the insulated chip (IC) clipper, which I have absolutely no use for. If you're setting or removing your own chips on a board, you'll probably want a more robust set of tools than these. I wish they instead included an anti-static wrist strap with this set. The included case is very handy, especially since I've had to tote it around to friends' and family members' homes acting as the resident PC fixer-upper. FYI: The tool set I got (in June '08) actually had all solid black handles, not orange as pictured here.
Simply effective July 10, 2008 Calaven Beck (i exist only within the confines of your imagination) This is a nice and simple kit for basic maintenance of a pc. Seller delivered product quickly, and it arrived in perfect condition.
Good buy... February 15, 2008 duckynash (Florida) A good and inexpensive tool kit for the average computer user. Just right for someone who wants to add cards or change a fan. Very handy kit to keep next to your computer.
Works for me October 28, 2007 English Pearson (MS, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I doubt I'll ever use all the tools even in this small kit, but the ones I have used perform very well. When you need a tool for fiddling with your computer, it's nice not to have to worry about 'where it's been.'
All I Need September 15, 2007 Johnny Huynh 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The tools look alot larger in the picture than they really are. The vinyl case the encompasses them is about the same size as one of my hand spreaded open; it's about the same size as a small chapter book. I use the Belkin 10-piece computer tool kit to build computers out of composite parts available for purchase. The only tool I have actually used (and need) is the #1 Phillips-Head Screwdriver. It's the only tool I've needed so far for working with my chassis. Pros: Has everything I need to open/insert computer components, cheap price, and they are easy to use due to the handles. Cons: Could have included the Belkin Anti-Static Wrist Band with Adjustable Grounding, or at least have a proper storage space for one, which I also bought along with this. There's enough space to store my Belkin anti-static wrist band inside the storage case, but there just isn't a proper space for it to be stored neatly. No need to buy those expensive professional computer tool kits because this is all you will ever need for exchanging parts for your computer unless you decide to tweak your computer components into different shapes for whatever purposes. *Note: I ordered this Belkin 11-piece computer tool kit, but received the 10 piece Tool Kit instead from [...]. Both tool kits are Mfr. Part #: F8E060, and I believe the 10 piece tool kit is the updated version of the 11-piece tool kit. They both practically have the same tools (other than the demagnetization labeled for the 11-piece tool kit). The 10 piece tool kit is actually also an 11-piece tool kit because it just decided to omit counting the vinyl case, which it also comes with. I prefer the black handles of the 10-piece tool kit over the orange handles of the 11-piece tool kit, so I am not complaining about the 10-piece tool kit I received instead.
